Politics today is the debate about how to react to events and about morality on certain issues. It is the wrong discussion.
When the US was founded, the founders realized that the most critical thing for the new country would not be its approach to foreign relations or its handling of prenatal life, but it would be the structure of the government. They realized that by crafting government in certain ways, they could craft a nation that would not only handle the issues of the day, but could handle all that the future would bring
We need to return to this approach to politics. We need to look at the issues we face and determine which are core problems, and which are symptoms of underlying structural flaws.
